From direct assistance to a resource navigator.
Lights Back On, Inc. began by distributing solar-powered lamps and lanterns to areas in need directly for Georgia families in crisis. As demand grew beyond what one small nonprofit could fund alone, we rebuilt around a different model: maintaining relationships with vetted partner organizations and routing each request to the program built to help.
Our Mission
Lights Back On, Inc. is committed to helping Georgia families facing energy insecurity, housing instability, and financial hardship find their way back to stability.
We believe access to a stable home, reliable power, and enough food on the table is fundamental - and that no family should have to choose between them.
We're proud to work alongside partner organizations who share that belief: Restoring One's Hope, which supports individuals recovering from hardship and trauma; Robert Craig Films and the No Address Project, who raise awareness and funding for homelessness prevention through storytelling; and the National Coalition for the Homeless, which supports holistic housing, healthcare, and employment services.

Our Backstory
One family's struggle became a mission to help others find a way forward.
In 2013, George and his family experienced firsthand what it meant to struggle without reliable electricity while caring for their newborn daughter. What began as an incredibly difficult chapter in their lives ultimately became the inspiration for Lights Back On.
Today, that experience continues to shape the organization's commitment to helping families find the resources and support they need to move forward.
