WHY WE EXIST

In 2013, our founders learned firsthand what it means to face that choice — caring for a newborn while their family lived without electricity for nearly a year, relying on a portable heater and a hotplate just to stay warm and fed.

Sometimes people don't need someone to solve every problem for them. They need someone to help them find where to turn.

That's what Lights Back On does — connecting Georgia families to the utility, housing, food, and financial resources already out there, so no one has to face a hard time alone.
